The Shimenawa pin

The Shimenawa is our 2021 exclusive design for the year of the Ox. The Shimenawa wreath is one of the traditional Japanese new year decorations “O-Shogatsu Kazri お正月飾り. For the year of the Ox, we included ume blossoms represent hope, Shimekazari red and white papers for purification, pine is a symbol of longevity, shimenawa wreath is to ward off negative energy, and the nanten berries resemble good fortune.

Because we believe in the no-waste "mottainai 勿体ない philosophy" we designed the card to be used as a bookmark as well.
